Redd for konsekvenser av utestående gjeld
I have a tax withhold in 2015 amounting to 12 706 NOK but due to Visa matters I need to go back home in the Philippines. I received a letter from the Tax office that I need to pay the amount with interest. I was not able to pay back then so they sent me a letter that they send the case to Oslo Tinghuset. I got a letter for trial but was not able to attend because I am in the Philippines. I plan to go back to Norway for vacation. Q: Will I go to jail if I do not settle my debt?

Norway does not put people in prison for not paying their debts. If you stay here for a while, they will probably start up a legal enforcement process against you. The purpose of such a process is to seize any valuables you have over and above what you NEED for your daily sustenance. I guess, from your letter, that the only thing they would ever try to seize from you, is (part of) your income. If they do this, they are obliged to leave you with enough money that you have a legal way of paying for necessary food, clothing and housing etc.
